Day 10 - A Walk In The Park
Baby Jig
Baby Isabella appears to be dancing a jig.
In reality, her caregiver is just dropping
her off in our area of the babyhouse.
...And He's Off
Ethan showing his back side as he
tears away on his search for adventure.
That's a prone baby
Isabella just laying back after a hard day of eating and sleeping....life is hard
Whoops...now that's what I call a speedbump
Ethan proves that no paltry little road obstacle can
keep him away from his final destination.

Look at that Punnum
After stealing my watch, Isabella looks lovingly up at
Momma's diamond ear rings....yup...they will look nice
on my lobes....yup
Mmmmwwwwa ...I luv watches
Here Isabella kisses daddy's watch.
I think she's actually chewing it...
Yup......she's eating it alright
Perhaps its time for me to get that new watch....if D is reading this I'm ready for
my new Omega
There's a big hug for you
Denise gives the little one a big hug hello at the beginning of the day...
I know she keeps new diapers in here....
The boy rummages through the diaper bag....why do you ask?  Because its there....of course
Sleepy Time Gallery
Unfortunately the girl was in a particularly grumpy mood today....so D put her to sleep....of course I took this opportunity to snap their pictures....they look cute don't they?
What now....?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
She's Quiet Now
Do Not Disturb
Group Shot of the Family
We spent the morning with the kids but in the afternoon we got the chance to check out the Green Market, the 28 Heros Park and a magnificent church inside the park
The Green Market
I didn't get too much out of this place.  It's nothing more
than a giant flea market.  True we did get some great
bargains....$1 scarfs for the kids, a couple of frames
for $2 and a hat for Ethan for $1.50
ummmmm....Things for Sale
Actually inside the market you can get nuts, fruits,
and other exotic fare...some of it can be pretty wild. If
you ever thirsted after a refreshing glass of horse milk
then this is the place....

Fruit for Sale
Of course you can also get apples, bananas and oranges here too.

Museum of Instruments
After our lunch we walked over to the 28
Heros Park....this museum was along
the way....
Mad Murphy's aka the Irish Pub
We had lunch here....Traditional American fare in a
rustic pub-like atmosphere.....
The Main Monument
Insides the 28 Heros park you come across a sweeping
venue with two side structures and a median with an
eternal flame.  One side of the throughway celebrates
the victory of the Russian Revolution while the opposite
side celebrates the victory over the Germans in WWII.
Side Profile of the Main Monument
You really have to be here to appreciate the sheer size
of this thing....It appeared to be made of wrought iron..
we could see the welded plate seams holding it together.
Really magnificent....
Holding the Enemy at Bay
Vitaly told us that the monument symbolizes the various
races of the Russian federation holding back the
invading forces that sought to break it apart.
The Church In The Park
We came across the most beautiful
Greek Orthodox Church in the middle of the park. It was closed between sermons but our driver talked to the curator and he let us take a peak inside.
The Main Hall
The church looked much bigger on the
outside than it did on the inside.  It had
a huge chandelier hanging just in front of
the main altar...
Side Profile of a Panel
The church and artwork are about 100
years old.
Religious Icons Inside the Church
There were amazing icons inside
this church....the one above has an
intricate clothing pattern created out of
precious stones....the large ones are all
diamonds
Icon #2
This particular icon was encrusted in
pearls diamonds and other precious
stones.
A Peaceful Place
Since we were the only ones in the church
it was peaceful and beautiful.  The scene
above was just amazing to see live and I
was glad to be able to capture it with my
digital camera.

Day 9
Pics
Day 11
Pics
It was Sunday in the baby house again....which makes it difficult to find staff.  They run very lean so you have to find a caregiver, have the door unlocked give the diapers and wait.  During the week it is much easier.  So we decided to go take in a morning session and to go out and do some sightseeing in the afternoon.

The kids were great in the morning.  Isabella was a bit grumpy
but when she fell asleep for over 35 minutes we quickly
figured out it was because she was just tired.  Cary has done most of the comentary up until today but I have to say that today was my first feeling of bonding with Isabella - for her to sleep on my chest was a major coup!  Up until now she would rather fight than be that vunerable around us.   It is wonderful that she is so attached to her caregivers but we look forward to her being with us on a full time basis!!!  That day is almost here! Just 2 more days to Gotcha time.

In the afternoon we did alot.  We checked out the Irish Pub,
went to the green market and saw the 28 Heros park.
