Day 3 - The Baby Strikes Back
Kaz QP Doll or Kaz Voodoo Doll?
We had dinner with the Ericsons last night
and met their two little additions
(Aubry and Asa)...and they showed us
some of  the souvenirs they bought....we
didn't spend too much time..but I forgot to
take our pictures with them.
Our New QP Doll- Ethan
Don't let these pictures fool you....Ethan is actually much smaller than the picture to the left...just kidding.
Mommy and Ethan Having a Talk
Baby Breach!
If you ever see those pictures of Whales when they
breach (break the surface of the water) you will
appreciate this picture....I think Ethan thinks he's
a baby whale or something..(he does this alot)
"Who are you callin a Whale?"
Baby you can drive my car
Isabella holding some toy keys....we didn't have the heart to tell her Daddy drives a FORD....we didn't want her crying again.
"You Wanna Piece O' Me?"
Isabella eyes the advancing Ethan with defiance
etched into her tiny (but mighty) brow.  "I thought
you might have learned your lesson from the
previous day"....
...And It's On....BABY WARS II
not sure why....but Ethan has to
have the binky....he doesn't use it
he just wants it.......
"I didn't want her Binky anyway"
The boy sits dejected looking at the
token binky his dad found to soothe
peace..."Next time there'll be no one to stop me"
There there little one....
Not really sure what happened to start
the waterworks this time.  Isabella was
doing wonderfully.  I think I was talking
to her about what I do at GE.  She was
fine until I started rhyming through all
of the GE Business Units....she loved
Power, Aircraft Engines and Capital but
lost it when I got to Appliances...or
maybe it was the stock price that set
her off.....I know babe, I know....
As your New Leader.....
Ethan waves goodbye as he heads off
back to the baby holding area with his
caregiver
Isabella Says Paka Paka
Paka Paka means bye bye...
In and Around Kazahkstan -
Since today was Sunday...there wasn't alot of staff on -hand in the baby house so we thought we'd take in the mountains afterall....here are the pics...
If you do ever find yourself here; make sure you get there
early.  The government shuts down the roads if too many
people go up.  We ended up being waved through by
one guard while another one was telling us to stop.
Weekends are very busy...its Kaz central up there.
The Kaz Mountains:
back into the tibetan
range and are truly
beautiful..especially with
snow on the ground.

If you were so inclined you could walk up the slope but we really didn't feel upto it...

There is also a huge ice
rink near the base of the
mountain.

You have to pay to get in....and I didn't see a place to rent skates...so if you go...bring yours.
A GOOD PLACE TO EAT
Not sure what the name of this place is...but its great, its cheap and the atmosphere is tranquil.  Vitaly took us here
to have a late lunch after the mountains.

It has Armenian/Southern Russian ethnic food and man is it really wonderful.  Sure you can eat burgers or fill up on chips at the Ramstore...but this place was quite tasty.

The 3 of us ate for about $16.00 US.
That's all folks......see you tomorrow
